I am having this same exact issue, and copilot does not seem to update. It says github pro through my github profile, but still says free and non-premium plans and features through copilot. |

Same issue. Github support clanker just emailed me a pre-wrote basic response, so no help so far |

Copilot in GitHub
Body
Hello GitHub Support Team,
I am writing to request assistance with my GitHub Education benefits. My application was successfully verified on April 28, 2026, and my settings page indicates that my benefits should be available until April 2028.
However, I am experiencing the following issues:
Plan Mismatch: Despite being verified, my Copilot settings page still shows that I am on a "Free" plan with limited responses remaining, rather than the "GitHub Copilot Student" plan.
Feature Lock: My billing dashboard shows "Plan upgrades are temporarily unavailable," which is preventing me from manually triggering the transition to the student tier.
Usage Sync: My metered usage remains at $0.00, and I am unable to access the premium models (like Claude 3.5 Sonnet or GPT-4o) typically included in the student developer pack.
I have already tried logging out and back into both the web portal and my IDE (VS Code), but the status remains unchanged.
As a final-year Computer Science student, I was looking forward to using these tools for my upcoming projects. Could you please look into my account and manually sync my verified student status with my Copilot and Billing subscriptions?
