It happened to me too when I wanted to start programming from zero. The best solution is not to start directly with API or advanced GitHub topics. Start with the basics first, then move step by step. A practical path would be:
Good free resources to start:
So the solution is: do not start from advanced API topics. Start from programming fundamentals, build small projects, then learn GitHub and APIs after you are comfortable with basic coding. |

… It happened to me too when I wanted to start programming from zero. The
best solution is not to start directly with API or advanced GitHub topics.
Start with the basics first, then move step by step.
A practical path would be:
1.
Learn the basics of programming logic:
- variables
- conditions
- loops
- functions
- arrays/objects
2.
Start with web development because it is beginner-friendly:
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
3.
Build small projects:
- personal portfolio website
- calculator
- todo list app
- simple landing page
4.
Then learn Git and GitHub:
- create a repository
- commit changes
- push code
- use README.md properly
- publish a simple website with GitHub Pages
5.
After that, move to APIs:
- understand HTTP
- learn GET/POST requests
- practice with simple public APIs
- then study GitHub REST API or GraphQL API
Good free resources to start:
- MDN Web Docs for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- freeCodeCamp for interactive coding practice
- GitHub Skills for learning GitHub basics
So the solution is: do not start from advanced API topics. Start from
programming fundamentals, build small projects, then learn GitHub and APIs
after you are comfortable with basic coding.
