This featurette for The Bride! takes viewers into 1930s Chicago, where the Frankenstein myth is boldly reinvented through a dark, operatic, and emotionally charged vision.
The featurette explores how the legendary monster tale is reshaped into a sweeping story of obsession, resurrection, and rebellion. A lonely Frankenstein seeks the help of an ambitious scientist to create a companion, but the experiment spirals into murder, possession, and the rise of a radical cultural movement. Behind-the-scenes footage highlights the film’s textured production design and intense dramatic tone.
The visual effects are supervised by Production VFX Supervisor Mark Russell and Production VFX Producer Sophie-Ann Price, with VFX work delivered by One of Us, Twin Pines, Refuge and ILM.
Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, the film blends gothic horror, romance, and social upheaval into a striking cinematic vision. The Bride is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on March 6, 2026.
