Very excited to see Canon Inc. and Canon Europe Ltd. announce the roll out of their C2PA-compliant Authenticity Imaging System for news organizations in May 2026 (initially in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). This system is a comprehensive solution based on the (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) standard to manage image provenance records, issue certificates, apply trusted timestamps and verify content history. Designed for images captured with C2PA enabled cameras - specifically the EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II - the system helps support the preservation of provenance information from the point of capture onward, in accordance with each news organization's editorial and technical workflows. https://lnkd.in/eYanZmqj

My co-founder Tim Murphy will be speaking in a panel as part of an event hosted by the Content Authenticity Initiative at Adobe as part of TECH WEEK by a16z. This conversation will explore what it’s like to build with Content Credentials as a startup or at a scale of over a billion users, and how all of this fits into a global, cross-industry movement for content provenance. After the panel, two working artists will share how they use Content Credentials to protect their work and assert their creative intent. Pixelstream will also be hosting an Authentic Headshot Photobooth where you can have your photo taken with a Leica camera that signs Content Credentials at capture and you’ll have the opportunity to share those photos on LinkedIn. Hope to see you there! Register: https://lnkd.in/eD8Xaz9Y #NYTechWeek #ContentCredentials

🪩 We're hosting a special gathering in New York as part of TECH WEEK by a16z that goes beyond the AI conversation to explore what meaningful transparency looks like across the creative ecosystem: who made something, how it was made, and why that matters, whether you're a creative professional, a developer, or a startup founder scaling to enterprise. 🎤 Hear from product leaders at Adobe, LinkedIn, and ecosystem implementer Pixelstream on how they took Content Credentials from concept to launch. 🎨 Learn from two working artists on how they use Content Credentials to protect their work and assert their creative intent. 🥂 Get hands-on experience with product demos and connect with others working toward a more trustworthy and transparent digital ecosystem. Drinks and heavy appetizers are on us. Speakers: Andy Parsons, TIME100 Innovator, Global Head of Content Authenticity, Adobe Daniel Tweed-Kent, Verifications Product Lead, LinkedIn Tim Murphy, Co-Founder, Pixelstream Aundre Larrow, Director and Photographer Fabiola Lara, Illustrator Hosts: Coleen Jose, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Content Authenticity, Adobe Jen Tse, Community & Advocacy Lead, Content Authenticity Initiative, Adobe RSVP: https://lnkd.in/eTsdtydd (Given limited capacity, we'll follow up to confirm your registration.)

We're thrilled to have Andy Parsons speak in one of our fireside chats at Visual 1st, Sept. 29-30 in San Francisco. Andy is Adobe's Global Head of Content Authenticity and a major advocate for the industry adoption of the Content Credentials Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) standard. And BTW, Any is also a former professional jazz musician -- but that is a whole other story. https://lnkd.in/ghKKapSv

Congratulations to European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and CBC/Radio-Canada for receiving the National Association of Broadcasters Technology Innovation Award for their open-source C2PA-enabled video player! Their end-to-end workflow currently on display at NAB Show in Vegas is yet more proof that Content Credentials can persist across tools, organizations, and production stages through to the audiences that view them. It's one more significant step toward making Content Credentials for video available to the general public.
We’re pleased to share that the EBU has received the NAB Technology Innovation Award for the open-source C2PA-enabled video player! 🎉🥳. We share the prize with CBC/Radio-Canada, who collaborate on the project with us. This is technology that can help to deliver verified authenticity to audiences and make a difference in times of eroding trust in media content. The project addresses a real industry challenge: making content authenticity not just verifiable, but easily usable in workflows and viewing scenarios. The video player validates Content Credentials in real-time and presents provenance as clearly understandable trust signals to the viewer, be it in newsrooms or on end-user devices. Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eTDMtCKe At NAB Show in Las Vegas, the player is currently on show as part of a true end-to-end workflow, showing Content Credentials being passed from C2PA-enabled acquisition with a camera through editing and publication. Stop by at booth C4449-A, Futures Park in Central Hall, if you’re there! Many thanks to all collaborators on this, including Mohamed Badr Taddist (EBU), Marcos Armstrong and Sebastien Testeau (CBC/Radio-Canada)! The picture shows Willem Vermost and Maxim Caron accepting the prize on behalf of EBU and CBC/Radio-Canada respectively.

Today, John Collomosse, Sr. Principal Research Scientist at Adobe, is speaking at The National Archives, UK in a workshop about durable provenance markers as a means for content licensing in the galleries, libraries, archives, and museums (GLAM) sector. The workshop is part of the LUSTRE/GLOW initiative, led by Professor Lise Jaillant and supported by Loughborough University, in collaboration with The National Archives and the UK Cabinet Office. The event brings together researchers, government professionals, colleagues from across the GLAM sectors, and AI specialists on both sides of the Atlantic to explore how artificial intelligence can improve access to government records, while engaging carefully with questions of sensitivity, metadata, provenance, and trust. CAI's Santiago Lyon, Partnership on AI's Claire Leibowicz, NYTimes's Duy Nguyen, Kristen Saloomey (FPA) & I (Tauth Labs) discussed the use of AI in newsrooms, the challenge of fake or manipulated image detection, & the value of C2PA content authentication. The New School Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism program's Natasha Lennard provided introductory comments and hosted the conversation at an event organized and supported by the The New School, Foreign Press Association and The New York Times. Takeaways included: The value of AI for specific media applications with appropriate journalist oversight, editing and final sign-off. That a small percentage of AI errors or failure to identify AI-generated images could lead to massive numbers of inaccurate content or images being shared. Content authentication provides a way to build trust in digital content by affirming its provenance. I specifically highlighted the benefits of framing the challenges of digital safety in both terms of "shadow content" (malicious fake content designed to deceive audiences that it is from a specific organization or company) vs. AI slop or synthetic content, as well as content authentication around "Protect, Detect and Correct" solutions. While some in the 100+ audience noted that the media was to an extent culpable for the decline in trust, I shared a new framing concept we are working on at Tauth Labs - "Kintsugi" to highlight that while the internet is to some extent broken, content authentication can be part of the solution to putting it back together. I noted that perfection can be the enemy of the good with a question for the audience - are we better off with an additional layer of digital safety and with high-quality journalism for all its imperfections. Thanks to Media.com and CommPRO's Fay Shapiro or their support.
