Persistent connectivity is not a security failure. It is how modern enterprise environments operate. The real target is unconditional privilege. Access that is over-provisioned, static, and rarely revisited. When you separate those two things, the path forward gets clearer. Connectivity can persist. Privilege should not be assumed. Tie access to continuous context, device posture, behavioral telemetry, real-time risk scoring, and it becomes proportional rather than permanent. That distinction is what makes Zero Trust operationally viable, not just theoretically sound. I was deeply saddened to hear about Zohar’s passing. He was not only an exceptional professional, but also a genuinely kind and thoughtful colleague. I had the privilege of working alongside him, and his insight, integrity, and calm presence left a lasting impression on everyone around him. He will be greatly missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
