The Student Developer Pack does include access to Copilot Pro features, but model availability inside Copilot Chat is not always identical across all accounts immediately after verification. A few things are likely happening here:
Since GPT-4.5 is already available on your account, your Copilot entitlement itself is probably working correctly. You can try:
If the models remain missing after that, it is most likely an availability rollout issue rather than a problem with your Student Pack verification. |

Pretty much what @RAAJK20Pro said — your entitlement is working fine since you can already access Claude Sonnet 4.5 and GPT-5 mini. The greyed out models are most likely just staged rollout, not a plan restriction on your end. One thing worth adding — you can check github.com/settings/copilot directly to see exactly which models are enabled on your account right now. Sometimes models appear there as toggleable before they show up in the chat picker UI. If after 72 hours they're still greyed out, it's worth opening a support ticket at support.github.com and mentioning your verification date (May 07) — they can check whether your account has been fully provisioned on their end. |

Hi @Kiraitsu, thanks for the clarification. Actually, in my case, the Claude 4.6 and 4.7 models are not even showing up as "greyed out"—they are completely missing from the list. I can only see up to Sonnet 4.5 and then it jumps to other models.
I’ve attached a screenshot of my model picker for reference. Since my account was verified on May 07 and I can see GPT-5, it's strange that 4.6/4.7 are totally hidden. Could this be a specific configuration issue for my account?

Ah okay that makes more sense @Mohammad00017 — completely missing is a different story from greyed out. Could you share what the screenshot shows exactly? Like does the list jump straight from Sonnet 4.5 to GPT models, or is there a gap where Claude models would normally be? Either way, since GPT-5 mini is showing up fine for you, your Copilot entitlement itself is working — this looks more like Claude 4.6/4.7 specifically just haven't been provisioned to your account yet. GitHub rolls out new Claude versions in batches and they're managed separately from GPT models, so the timing doesn't always line up. Best move at this point is a support ticket at support.github.com with that screenshot attached and your verification date (May 7) — they can check on their end if something got missed during provisioning. |

Here is the screenshot. As you can see, the list jumps straight from Sonnet 4.5 to other models, and there is no gap or greyed-out option for Claude 4.6/4.7. Since GPT-5 mini is working, it seems like the newer Claude models were missed during my account

Hi team,
I have recently been approved for the GitHub Student Developer Pack (Verified on May 07, 2026). While I can see models like Claude 4.5 Sonnet and GPT-5 mini, I am unable to see or select the newer Claude 4.6 and 4.7 models in my Copilot Chat model picker.
I see other users with "Pro" tags accessing these models, but they are missing or greyed out for me. Does the Student/Individual plan include access to these latest Claude models, or is there a specific setting/waitlist I need to join?
